So let us start with this gem! First things first, I love the creative aspect, I hate the manipulation, but then again some people need that in this case

The basic analysis I have (its pretty clear) is that using the threat that your children (who while blatantly targeting women here, pull at a parents fear foor their childs wellbeing) getting into the same bad habbit as yourself, is meant to cause mothers to fear so much they finally quit.

The problem with these ads are that 1, this is similar to bullying and if someone feels bullied that is unlikely to give you the result you desired. 2 addiction isnt as easy as, this makes me feel upset lets stop, my dad can stop and start when he pleases, my mom has struggled all my life to try and quit. 3 its not accurate, if anything enforcing no smoking on your kids will bring out the need to do it more much like "dont press the red button" being told not to has an opposite effect. Lucky for my mom I didnt care for it, I like my throat not scratchy. None of my parents kids smoke even though they both smoke (mom heavily) and has since I can remember, yet none of us smoke because 1 we know its dumb and 2 we know its sh*tty.

Advertizing like this just gets on my nerves, it's like when you see all the 'Obesity causes cancer' scare tactics are not 100% effective so why bother continuing, surely a better route could be found. I know I personally start feeling stubborn towards that attitude, I WILL eat a double cheese burger right in front of that sign as my act of defience (if you can't tell, im plus size, yes fat is also the term but I dont claim that with all its negative bs).

Not sure I did this one quite right but I said what I said soo.

Also as a side note, Richard if you are still reading/ actually reading these, I am very impressed, and if not but you still caught this, Hi and thank you for trying to make classes more fun and interactive. Not sure how I feel about blogs though, I'm pretty word vomity (not that its stopping me..)
