To anyone who knows me on a personal level, they will know I have 2 very close friends who I do art with, one is my fellow American Jaded.Artist (Gen to friends) and Stripey_Illustrations (Chloe to friends). I have known and been making art with Chloe since 2012 when I moved over, and from then on we have bounced ideas and styles off one another. 2012 where the days of what I like to call 'Begginner Anime Level 1' with the anime eyes that most ages can do if they try its just a matter of how well. We all have had this phase I'm sure, I won't believe you if you tell me otherwise anyway.

I got my first drawing from her, we'd been friends a short while and I got a lovely picture of me with the Texas flag behind me. My personal favourite image from her this year had been one that was about beauty standards and wanting to be someone else. Shed also drawn me a birthday picture where she started her 'Long Boi' phase as I call it because her torsos and legs were so long, it came off as a cool style choice in my opinion.

showed a great improvement in her style and coloring, she was better at blending in her shadows and experimenting alot more with her coloring style as a whole. Her anatomy was leauges above where it had been when she first drew me by the end of this year, boobs where an actual thing. In terms of overall favourite, I loved her christmas card she made in November, the coloring was some of the best she'd done.

again her style had evolved but not nearly as much as 2012 into 2013 had, this year was more like improvements to her current style, bettering her anatomy and playing with faces more. This year also had a whole bunch of her vent art starting, which she'd specifically designed a character for called Aro, who looked (to me) like her struggle at wanting to fit in (her straight hair) and wanting to embrace her how she was (curly hair) We really started to make characters and stories together this year (if I remember correctly) and had some great ideas. I was torn between her halloween 'Cece' and some of her Vent art from August that had me blown away when I first saw it.

was a more 'mature' year, she began being more inspired by Pin up work and working on curvier body types, the improvement seen here was more so in developing her anatomy skills and composition as well as her coloring style. Her overall style started to become more stable and her line work looked better. This year I had gotten a picture of my oc Freya (which made her fav design for November), yet surprisingly I was most in love with her October Cece she did this year, the coloring and composition had floored me.

we started a few collaberations, one such was her favourite piece for February, where she did the line work and I did the coloring which is why it looks different. She wasn't as active in terms of art this year I don't think, however I did love the fanart she did for Garnet in January, the coloring was perfection. I remember she was spending either more time on shading or very bare shading depending on the look she wanted to achieve. In all honestly, I cant be sure but im pretty sure this year she drew me a present of us together which I had for ages in my room but as it didnt get framed it got tatty..

This year gave a relatively obvious change in styles, mostly seen in how she did noses and the change of eyes. She also developed her line art annd coloring skills as well as composition, between Uni work she was actually getting a good number of personal art pieces drawn, more developments on her characters as well as a couple of Collaberations we did this time both of us doing a character each. This year was hard to pick my favourite because she made amazing work of our characters together (June) as well as drew my character in a burlesque scene for my own birthday.

..This was a wild ride for me, there was very little work she put out that I wasnt in love with, Again she had a style change, not once but twice. She started to work in a 'Lineless' style and was very adventours with her textures and coloring everything looked amazing. After seeing what she was like in 2012 its amazing to see the change and improvment. Its hard to pick but I will say I got a birthday gift of my Fiance and I which was my screensaver until very recently.

she only started really perfecting her style, it became pretty obvious what shes drawn compared to someone else. She did want to try and create another style, she was feeling her style wouldnt be suited to everything she drew, such as if she drew someone more mature, her style was very much a child friendly feel to it however if you were to ask me anything can be drawn in her style because its her style, the subject shouldn't effect it. Ive been so proud of how far shes come and the changes shes made and experiments shes done. Overall shes gained a very solid style that is very likeable. Shed drawn us again for my birthday, but she hated how it was looking and gave up, I love it even though she didnt complete it.

Well thats until now, we are still besties (even have friend tattoos now) and still go back and forth with our ideas and images, though these days i'd say shes more help to me then I am to her. I admire her work so much and am so proud to show it off and say 'Yea I know her' So far this year my fav is either her sketch of the girls in our tatts or the tribute art she made for Qinni who was big in the art community and recently lost her fight with cancer.
